Frequently asked questions
Can someone remove the watermark?
It is drawn into each page's content, so ordinary viewers cannot hide it. A determined user with PDF editing software could still edit it out – no watermark is tamper-proof.
Should I use centered or tiled?
Centered is one large stamp per page, good for DRAFT. Tiled repeats the text across the page, which is harder to crop out of screenshots.
Which characters are supported?
The built-in Helvetica font covers Latin letters, accents and common symbols. Emoji and non-Latin scripts (e.g. Chinese, Arabic) are not supported yet.
Is the text still readable under the watermark?
Yes at the default 25% opacity. Lower the opacity for text-dense pages.
