Can I start numbering from a number other than 1?
Yes. Set "Start at" to any number, e.g. 5 if your document continues an earlier one. The "1 / N" format adjusts the total to match.
Are the numbers searchable text?
Yes. Numbers are written as real Helvetica text, so they print crisply and can be selected and searched.
Will numbers overlap my footer?
Check the preview. If they collide, increase the margin or move them to the top or another corner.
Can I skip the cover page?
Not directly. Remove the cover with Delete PDF Pages, number the rest, then merge the cover back with Merge PDF.
